Job Description:
The Tobin School is seeking a Jr Kindergarten Teacher for our JrK Full Day classroom, beginning late August 2026. This teacher would work collaboratively with one other full time teacher, someday time support teachers, and an afternoon assistant in supporting up to 16 children per day in a classroom running 7:15-5:45.
We are looking for an experienced educator to join this classroom team to support parent communication, child supervision, curriculum planning, child assessment, and ensuring adherence to all safety and sanitation protocols, EEC licensing regulations, and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria. Full time positions are available at 40 hours per week, working 8 hour shifts with a paid 1/2 hour break. Must be able to work a flexible schedule of 8:00-4:00, and mostly 9:45-5:45 shifts. Position is full year, with summer work in our Summer at Tobin Jr program for those heading to JrK and Kindergarten in the Fall.
Our JrK Full Day program offers a great transitional year for those children who miss the Kindergarten cutoff for the Fall or who would benefit from another year. We have beautiful classrooms, and extensive outside play spaces, including playgrounds for preschool and school-age students, a turf field, garden spaces, sandboxes, and mud kitchen and loose parts area. We also have an indoor gross motor space and a dedicated STEAM room.

The Tobin School is an NAEYC accredited program offering school-year early childhood programs for PS, PreK and JrK in our large air conditioned building on our Natick campus. Requirements:
Successful applicants must have EEC Preschool Teacher certification, and some early childhood teaching experience. A degree in early childhood or related field is highly valued. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to plan creative engaging curriculum is a must. Knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on education and experience. Pay range: $21.00-$24.00 per hour.
